Segundo informações do boletim de ocorrência, o motorista trafegava por volta das 4 horas da manhã quando homens armados pararam o caminhão na rodovia Venâncio Calegari e renderam o motorista.

A vítima foi abandonada em uma estrada de terra próximo ao aterro sanitário na antiga Granja Coave, na região do bairro Recanto das Águas em Cosmópolis.

A carga de cerca de 300 ventiladores de teto foi roubada. Ainda segundo o registro, o motorista sofreu agressões por parte dos assaltantes mas não precisou de atendimento médico.
