O 10º Batalhão de Ações Especiais de Polícia (Baep) localizou o veículo nesta terça-feira (30), com os sinais de identificação adulterados.

Segundo o Baep, uma moradora de Ribeirão Preto (SP), dona de um SUV Toyota Corolla Cross, informou que tinha recebido notificações sobre multas na cidade de Rio Claro. No entanto, ela alegou que não tinha ido para a cidade.

Ainda de acordo com a corporação, o SUV foi encontrado com os números de chassi e motor remarcados, número de câmbio apagado, módulo de ignição sem dados de fabricação e placas sem cadastro no banco de dados da Secretaria Nacional de Trânsito (Senatran).

Uma mulher conduzia o veículo e alegou que seu falecido esposo tinha comprado o carro há cerca de cinco meses de uma pessoa desconhecida, pelo valor de R$ 112 mil.

Ela e o veículo foram conduzidos para a Central de Flagrantes, onde o delegado registrou um boletim de ocorrência por adulteração sinal identificador de veículo automotor. O SUV ficou apreendido.
