No local, foram encontradas armas que estavam registradas em nome de um investigado apontado pelo MP como líder de uma organização criminosa de Rio Claro que faz oposição na cidade à maior facção criminosa do país.

O imóvel pertence aos pais do denunciado, que foi capturado nessa terça-feira (23), na região de Novo Horizonte também no interior paulista, após fugir na última semana de um cerco policial no condomínio em que residia na cidade de Ipeúna (SP).

Foram apreendidas uma espingarda calibre 12, um fuzil com três carregadores, um carregador de pistola 9mm, uma coronha adaptável para pistola, munições de diversos calibres, um notebook, um coldre e um aparelho DVR.

A investigação ganhou repercussão nacional desde que foi deflagrada a ‘Operação Oposição’ no dia 17 de maio.

Ainda segundo o Ministério Público, a rivalidade entre os dois grupos vinha ocasionando uma disputa por atuação no território de Rio Claro e região que culminava em mortes.
